The A9L16300 surge arrester is a surge protection device manufactured by Schneider Electric. This surge protector is part of the Acti9 range, a series of products dedicated to protecting electrical installations against transient overvoltages, such as those caused by lightning or voltage fluctuations.
Description
Equipped with a type 2 signaling report, the iQuick PRD40r surge arrester protects 1P+N installations against indirect transient overvoltages in TT or TN-S systems for a medium risk level. Measuring L72 x H103.9 x D75.9 mm with a width of 8 modules of 9 mm each, it has an IP20 protection rating and IP40 in the modular enclosure. Its operating temperature ranges from -25°C to +60°C, and its storage temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C. This Acti9 iQuick PRD40r is compatible with TT and TN-S earthing systems.
The Acti9 iQuick PRD40r surge arrester has a maximum discharge current (Imax) of 40kA. Its nominal discharge current (In) is 20kA, and its maximum continuous operating voltage (Uc) in differential mode (between phase and neutral) is 350VAC. It also has a maximum continuous voltage (Uc) in common mode of 264VAC (neutral to earth) and 350VAC (phase to earth). Its nominal voltage (Ue) is 230/400VAC. The surge protection level is 1.5kV, type 2.
The operating frequency is 50/60Hz. Mounted on a DIN rail, this product includes an end-of-life disconnector breaker. Its performance complies with most international standards and stringent certifications: IEC/EN 60947-5-1, EN 61643-11:2012, and IEC 61643-11:2011. Coordination with the integrated circuit breaker is ensured for a maximum short-circuit current of 25kA.
