Grundfos SCALA2 is a complete, self-priming solution designed for boosting water pressure in domestic installations.
SCALA2 features an integrated speed controller that maintains constant pressure at all taps and adjusts pump performance according to varying water demands.
The SCALA2 booster pump can be installed in three simple steps:
- Connect the pipes.
- Prime the pump.
- Plug in the pump.
... and it starts.
SCALA2 includes all the components needed to ensure comfortable water pressure:
- an intelligent control unit,
- a built-in variable speed drive,
- an integrated tank,
- built-in sensors,
- integrated non-return valves.
As a self-priming pump, SCALA2 is capable of drawing water from below its installation level.
Once installed and primed, it can lift water from a depth of up to 8 meters in under 5 minutes (at sea level).
This simplifies installation and ensures operation even in the event of accidental loss of prime.
In cases such as dry running, water shortage, excessive temperature, a blocked shaft (e.g. due to jamming or overload), the booster pump automatically shuts down to protect the motor.
SCALA2 features an automatic reset function.
Thanks to its advanced hydraulic design, permanent magnet motor, and liquid-cooled operation, the booster pump is extremely quiet—47 dB(A) under normal conditions—making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
Its maximum sound level under full load is 53 dB(A).
SCALA2 requires no special maintenance. However, it is recommended to keep it clean, check the non-return valves, and regularly dust its ventilation openings.
