Description
Schneider Electric fuses provide protection for medium voltage distribution devices (from 3 to 36 kV) against dynamic and thermal effects caused by short circuits exceeding the fuse's minimum breaking current. Given their low acquisition cost and the fact that they require no maintenance, medium voltage fuses are an excellent solution for protecting various types of distribution devices:
- Medium voltage receivers (transformers, motors, capacitors…)
- Public and industrial electrical distribution networks.
They offer reliable protection against significant faults that can occur on both medium voltage circuits and low voltage circuits. This protection can be enhanced by combining fuses with low voltage protection systems or an overcurrent relay.
Standards and Uses:
SOLEFUSE (UTE standard) for transformer protection
MGK (UTE standard) for motor protection
FUSARC CF (DIN standard) for protection of transformers, motors, and capacitors
Tépéfuse (UTE standard) for voltage transformer protection
